Based on a choppy amateur video found on the “StageRightShow’s” YouTube page, it appears Rep. Bob Etheridge (D-NC) does not like it when anyone questions his “support” for “President Obama’s agenda.” As the video notes, Rep. While the video is edited to show the “red meat” on the curbside encounter between the interviewer and cameraman, both claiming to be “students,” it is still shocking to witness a Member of Congress physically assault a citizen of the United States when asked a seemingly innocent question like, “Do you fully support the Obama agenda?”

Rep. Etheridge: “Who are you? Who are you?
Rep. Etheridge strikes cameraman
Etheridge: “Who are you? Who are you?”
Rep. Etheridge swats interviewer and grabs his hand.
Interviewer: “I’m here for a project, sir.”
Rep. Etheridge: “Tell me who you are. “
Cameraman: “We’re just here for a project, sir.”
Rep. Etheridge: “Tell me who you are.”
Interviewer: “We’re just here for a project. Sir, please let go of my hand.”
Rep. Etheridge still clutching interviewer’s hand.
Rep. Etheridge: “I don’t care about [that]. Tell me who you are.”
Interviewer struggles to break free from Rep. Etheridge’s grip on his hand.
Interviewer: “I’m just a student, sir.”
Rep. Etheridge: “From?”
Cameraman: “We’re just students. That’s all we are.”
Rep Etheridge still maintaining his hold on interviewer’s hand.
Rep. Etheridge: “I have a right to know who you are.”
Cameraman: “All we are is students.”
Interviewer: “Sir, we’re in a public place.”
Rep. Etheridge still holding on.
Rep. Etheridge: “So am I. Who are you? Who are you?”
Rep. Etheridge apparently wants to dance with the interviewer.
Interviewer: “Please let go of my arm, sir.”
Rep. Etheridge forcefully grabs interviewer by the neck brings interviewer into himself, almost as if he wanted to pose for a photo opportunity with a supporter on the campaign trail.
Cameraman: “Sir! Sir! Sir, please!”
Rep. Etheridge: “Who are you?” (repeatedly)
Interviewer: “Congressman, please let go of me.”
Rep. Etheridge releases the interviewer and continues his quest to find out the identity of the interviewer.
Rep. Etheridge: “Who are you?”
Both parties separate from each other and start walking in opposite directions.

Agree almost completely! Had I been the senator, and some punk ass kid going to the Fox correspondence school for Journalism, had bounded up in my face with his arm pointed at me, and not knowing, for sure, what he had in his hand. The headline would read “Senator Cleans College kid’s clock”. And the only thing i’d be appologizing for Is that I never got his name.

Why is Bob Etherirdge so touchy? This was a perfect photo op to show where he stands in politics and how he votes for or against legislation…regardless of who is filming and interviewing….what? all of a sudden we have to ‘show papers’ in order to ask a ‘public servant’ a few questions……Uncle Bob, you handled this one all wrong. Public Servant, Bob….get it?
Oh no, you only have to show papers in Arizona right now. And thats just to prove to the Arizonian Gestapo, that your walking down the street legally. But, give it time.
So I take it you haven’t had a mexican take your job yet or had your check reduced to pay for his welfare check. Sounds like something a idiot obama supporter would say. I think Arizona should shoot them on sight.That would clear up the confusion.

Why is it that anytime an American questions our Government or it’s so called “Leaders” about their actions or lack of actions, WE are now considered as NON-PATRIOTS or TERRORISTS or NON- AMERICANS ?
I am sick and tired of others calling me out just for questioning the WRONGS of our government !
