Anti-Happy Meal Bandits Seek to Spread Misery Across US

If the originator of the Happy Meal toy ban and his merry band of nanny state nincompoops get their way, kids from sea to shining sea will be denied the right to enjoy a beloved tradition that’s as American as hamburgers and French fries in boxes with tiny toys wrapped in plastic.

Santa Clara County Supervisor Ken Yeager, the nanny state bureaucrat who launched the offensive war on Happy Meals last April and inspired San Francisco to follow suit, warns that his crusade is gaining momentum and support.

“It’s only going to pick up steam,” Yeager told the Los Angeles Times. “The fast-food chains must realize that the tide has turned.”

By his account, Yeager said he’s fielding inquiries from big city officials across the U.S. seeking to learn how they, too, can get away with stealing Happy Meal toys from children and ultimately determining what type of foods parents choose to serve their children. He noted that some health officials have told him his recipe for big government intrusion in citizens’ lives is “ripe to spread across the country.”

Here are a few steps to take if you don’t want Ken Yeager’s traveling circus of anti-obesity freaks trampling your freedom and liberties in your neck of the woods:

1. Blast Ken Yeager on Facebook and tell him to back-off and butt-out of decisions that are best left for parents to make. Since he no longer allows citizens he doesn’t know or trust to look at or post on his Wall, add him as a friend and then plaster his Wall with your thoughts.
